How do I apply for a position with Health Providers Choice? You may apply online, by fax, or by mail. By clicking the “JOIN OUR TEAM” icon you can find our on-line application. We will be verifying your employment history for five (5) years. It is really important that you complete all the information, including reference information. If you were employed by an agency during your hospital experience, it is necessary to note the agency as well as the hospital in your history. If you should have gaps in your employment during the past 5 years please provide a brief explanation of the reason for unemployment. It is not necessary to indicated this unless the time period exceeds 3 months. Also, we have the company verify your highest degree/education. Please provide complete education information. If you prefer applying using the paper/pencil method, gives us a call and we will be happy send you an application. Once you have submitted your application, a career placement specialist will contact you with information about assignment opportunities. Once I submit an application, am I obligated to take an assignment with Health Providers Choice? No. The application process is the first step in establishing a long-term employment arrangement, but under no circumstances is the submission of an application a commitment of employment by either the nurse or the agency. Submission of the initial application merely allows HPC Career Placement Specialists to begin the process of finding job placement that best "fits" your skill set. Can I work for more than one company at a time? Yes. Many nurses in this industry choose to work for more than one "agent company". Staffing companies are similar to other service companies in that they offer several different products to nurses seeking employment. Some companies offer the nurse the ability to locate a position in all 50 states while other companies offer less placement options in exchange for a high touch employment experience. Staffing companies differ in benefit and compensation programs as well. All the services/products offered by each company of consideration should be evaluated for individual preference and fit prior to making a commitment with a firm. When you evaluate companies for the one that best "fits" your individual priorities as a consumer, you may find that combining companies products allow for a wider range of consumer option, keeping in mind that your individual priorities may change from one moment to the next depending on your life path. What does Health Providers Choice require me to complete in order to be presented for placement consideration? All hospitals require only three things to be presented for placement consideration. Please keep in mind that placement consideration is only the first step in the employment process. - Copies of Licensure in the placement state as well as specialty certifications (BLS,ACLS, PALS etc.); - An application for employment with at least 5 years of employment history and a clear and a concise resume. (Referenced and verified by your agent) ; - A complete skills assessment in the specialty area/areas for consideration (available on-line). RETURN TO QUESTIONS |
